Crab Catching trip from Smögen Mondays and Fridays: Professional fisherman Tommy from Smögen takes you on a crab catching trip. You get to travel on a fishing vessel, help emptying crab pots, and experience the archipelago of Bohuslän. The crabs are big and you have to mind your fingers, as they can give a good nip. You also get to help to cook and eat the crabs. Deep-sea fishing trip Fridays: Johan will take you slightly further out to sea, to fish in deeper waters. (only adults and children from 13 years). Fishing trip for all the family Thursdays: Join experienced fishermen Martin & Tommy Olofsson on a memorable fishing trip in the Smögen archipelago. We spend a few hours fishing for mackerel and trying to spot harbour seals. Fishing rods can be hired on board. This is what PO Johannesson, journalist at the fishing magazine Fiskejournalen wrote about the fishing trips: “Skipper Johan Gonsén steered the boat both during the family trip, an earlier crab safari straight from the pier of the campsite, and the half-day trip I took a day or so later. He was, apart from being an expert on fishing sites, techniques and disentangling lines, also able to communicate just the right amount of information, in a pedagogic and interesting way, about the ocean and its inhabitants, which really gave the experience an extra dimension. He also helped me to my first close contact with a spiny dogfish.”
